Community Guidelines

Hi there! WitBlox is an early community for makers & innovators and we’re learning a lot each day. As we open up to a broader audience, we expect this document to evolve. If you have any feedback or suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. You can email us at suman@witblox.com

These Community Guidelines are meant to help you better understand:

  • The principles that we think make WitBlox Maker Community a special place
  • The rules we expect you to abide by as a WitBlox Maker
  • What you can do if you come across inappropriate behaviour or video in the App.

Principles

WitBlox was designed to be a space where all makers can ideate, design & share cool project ideas. WitBlox is a Robotics Learning App with “How to build?” video tutorials on different projects related to Robotics, Electronics, Arduino, Drones and 3D Printing. You can learn concepts digitally through comics & animation stories and practically build Projects using video tutorials.

You can even share your ideas with the world using WitBlox Social Maker Community and get coins. Its is a Made In India Social community with STEM education as it’s back bone.

Below are a few guiding principles that we believe are important.

  • Be yourself. The authenticity of WitBlox begins with the people.
  • Be respectful. This applies to every maker, at all times.
  • Be inclusive. Tolerate, welcome, and consider diverse people and perspectives.
  • Build empathy and understanding. Engage in comments that are in good faith.
  • Foster meaningful and genuine connections. This is what WitBlox Maker Community is all about.

Please note that these principles are intended to be high-level guidelines only.

Rules🎮

When you use WitBlox, you agree to abide by the following rules at all times. You also agree not to encourage others to violate these rules. The latter is taken seriously and can also result in removal from the Service.

  • You must use a real name and identity on the service.
    • We may require users to use the name they use in real life so other users know who they are connecting with. If we receive a complaint about a potential fake name, we may require users to provide identity verification.
    • We prohibit any attempt to impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
    • We prohibit the creation of duplicate or multiple accounts by one individual, whether representing themselves or another entity.
    • We prohibit unauthorized promotion of your account in ways that could be confusing for other users. This includes adding fake “verified account” check marks, fake speaking indicators or fake moderators badges to your profile photo.

    • Abuse is any attempt to bully, harass, or intimidate someone. Bullying is offensive, intimidating, insulting, or malicious behavior, or an abuse or misuse of power intended to undermine, humiliate, or injure the victim. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcomed, and uninvited behavior that is demeaning, threatening, or offensive and results in a hostile environment.

Harassing behavior includes, but is not limited to, offensive jokes, ridicule or mockery, derogatory comments, slurs, lewd propositions, visual insults, and derogatory images.
    • Please note that, while we allow for creative expression including comedy and parody, we do not tolerate their use for participating in or propagating abuse, bullying, or harassment.

    • Intentionally disruptive ****activity, includes, but is not limited to, making unrelated, off-topic comments that may include profane, vulgar, abusive or hateful statements, loud noises, and room takeovers or ending of rooms. This type activity may also be known as trolling.

Safety

Content Moderation

If someone has not violated any of the Rules, but you would still prefer not to interact with them, here are some tools you can utilize.

You can report an incident in 2 ways:

  • Report a single post: From inside the social post, you can click on the Report button(⚠) on the right bottom corner to report the post. After reporting, that post will be removed from the social feed of the WitBlox App and sent to the moderator for further action.
  • Report a user: To report a user, you need to go to the profile of the user and click on the button (⚠) on the top right corner.

If your account has been suspended, please follow this process for inquiry or appeal:

  • If your account is flagged for a potential violation of our Rules, your account may be temporarily or permanently restricted or removed from the platform.
  • If you believe your account did not violate our Rules, contact our Trust & Safety team at suman@witblox.com. Please include your name, email address, and reference to the original decision notification you received.
  • Please keep the following in mind when submitting an appeal:
    • Decision appeals must originate from the user who received the notice.
    • WitBlox does not accept nor consider appeals on behalf of another user.
    • Submitting multiple appeals concurrently may result in a delay in review.
  • Once you submit the appeal, the WitBlox Trust & Safety Team will decide whether or not to review it based on the Rule violation in question. Please note that not all Trust & Safety enforcement decisions are eligible for an appeal.
